Description

Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This is a first shift position.

Performs and demonstrates the aptitude and ability to perform the following as the minimum without supervision or assistance.

  • Can write and design electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic system that are either new or design changes
  • Able to read complex ladder logic schematics
  • Able to make process changes and machine alterations without OEM assistance
  • Able to machine out of modify metals or composite materials using lathe or mill, performs moderate to complex machine shop tasks
  • Traces complex electrical shorts and failures
  • Devises permanent solutions to reoccurring problems
  • Provide support for all maintenance personnel
  • Possess the ability to run all plant equipment dry without product at operating speed
  • Can diagnose, repair, and replace pneumatic blacks, actuators, scales, and bucket actuator links at all scales systems
  • Rebuilds all hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, values, solenoids
  • Performs and diagnosis all control circuits/power circuits, and determines if programming is the issue
  • Can replace and program all plant VFD's
  • Performs diagnosis and repairs to all plant electrical circuits and components
  • Can assist technicians and the house electrician as needed
  • Can retime T3 and T4 drive systems
  • Can safely implement electric/air/hydraulic temporary bypasses when needed
  • Assembles and setup of all new plant equipment 
  • Able to change machine parameters to alter operations/sequences as required
  • Can diagnose PLC issues, card replacement, fiber optic and leads, etc
  • Ability to understand and read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Requirements

Education, Qualities and Skills Required:

  • Associate Degree 
  • Knowledge in HACCP, GMP, SQF and USDA regulations is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills paying special attention to details
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures
  • Some welding and fabricating experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to contribute to a team environment
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to stand for long periods at a time
